Reese Mallon has been a member of the Shannon Irish Dance Academy since she began
dancing at the age of 11. At first, she just wanted to learn the craft and was apprehensive about performing and competing. With the help of Miss Sophia and her parents, she gained the confidence to join the performance team and compete in her first feis and hasn’t looked back since. She has proudly represented Shannon in competitions around the U.S. and Canada and has performed as a member of the Shannon Irish Dance Senior Company all over the great state of Michigan. Reese competes as a Champion dancer in both solos and teams, working very hard to reach her goal and one day dance at the World Championships. Reese has also danced in every Michigan production of An Irish Nutcracker, as well as on stage with the renowned Irish singer and dancer, Daniel O’Donnell.
Reese teaches the Beginner, Advanced Beginner, and Primary classes. She has a passion for all arts, especially the performing arts, fine art, and graphic design. She plans to major in arts after high school and dreams of becoming an Imagineer. She is also in the process of completing the World Irish Dance Association (WIDA) grade exams, having passed grades 1 through 4 with distinction, with plans to become a fully certified Irish dance instructor and adjudicator (TCRG/ADCRG) and opening her own Irish dance school. She is very grateful for the opportunity to teach, really enjoys teaching all her students and loves to watch them thrive at feiseanna and performances. She cherishes the opportunity to share her love of Irish dance and Irish culture with others.
