Madi Chase has been a member of the Shannon Irish Dance Academy since January 2018, but has been Irish dancing for over 4 years. She has also studied other dance forms such as ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, hip hop, modern, lyrical and musical theater for over 11 years.
Madi's love of Irish began when she was little after seeing the world-renowned show, Riverdance. She was captivated by the gracefulness of the softshoe and power shown by the hard shoe routines. She loves to be on stage flying across the floor the way only Irish dance allows her to and has performed all over the state for her community. She also enjoys performing in her high school theater troupe in her spare time and works on her dance steps whenever she can. Madi can't imagine her life without dance. It has helped her mentally, physically and emotionally, and she is very grateful for the teachers, friends and fellow students that she has met.
Madi is currently competing in primary/intermediate level and is a member of Shannon Irish Company. She is excited to be a part of the SIDA teaching staff and pass on her love of Irish dance to future students. Madi loves working with children and has had babysitting and child care training through the American Red Cross. Her love for the art shines brightly on stage, but also in the classroom. She tries to build a positive area, and to help each student grow not only as a proper Irish dancer, but as a person.
