Anabella Godfrey

Dance Instructor

Anabella has been dancing at the Shannon Irish Dance Academy under Sophia Wyzgowski,
TCRG since 2015. Although she has only been Irish dancing in recent years, she has been
involved in dance since age 2. She studied ballet for 9 years and has taken classes in tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip-hop. She performs throughout the year as a member of the Shannon Irish Dance Company. She has also been cast in the original production of An Irish Nutcracker since its debut in Michigan and has performed as a lead soloist. Anabella has been very successful in competition over the years, medaling in various dances at multiple feiseanna. She is currently competing as a Champion level dancer in both solos and teams and takes an interest in lacrosse.

Anabella started teaching in the Beginner and Advanced Beginner classes in the fall of 2017. She loves children and brings a fun and energetic style of teaching to the dance studio. She believes that dance should be fun and be challenging at the same time and that, by dedicating your time and effort to it, you can be great. She also wants her students to experience and learn from both winning and losing gracefully. Anabella has made her closest friends through Irish dance and wishes that her students will love to dance and make great friends too.
